55+ Communities in Whitman MA
Whitman has two 55+ communities: The Villages at Auburnville and Northville Village. They offer different home styles, price points, HOA structures, and stages of development.
The Villages at Auburnville
The Villages at Auburnville is an established 55+ community with 92 attached condominium homes built between 2005 and 2014.
Homes are approximately 2,100 to 2,300 square feet and may include two bedrooms, two or two-and-a-half bathrooms, attached garages, full basements, dens, and first-floor primary bedrooms. Community amenities include a clubhouse, exercise room, outdoor seating, grill area, and billiards area.
Northville Village
Northville Village is a newer 55+ community in Whitman, with 42 homes planned.
Phase 1 includes duplexes and detached single-family homes with first-floor primary bedrooms, two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, one-car garages, and full basements. A later phase is planned to include garden-style homes and a clubhouse.
Important Note
Pricing, HOA fees, availability, pet policies, age requirements, and community details can change. Buyers should review current community documents and verify all applicable information before purchasing.
What Are Your Options?
Not every homeowner who wants to downsize wants an age-restricted community.
Whitman buyers may also consider:
Ranch-style single-family homes
Smaller traditional homes
Homes with first-floor bedrooms
Condominiums without age restrictions
Townhomes and other lower-maintenance properties
For some homeowners, an HOA community offers convenience and reduced exterior maintenance. Others prefer traditional homeownership with fewer community restrictions.
Comparing both 55+ and non-age-restricted options can give you a clearer picture of what may work best for your lifestyle, budget, and long-term plans.
Compare 55+ Communities Near Whitman
Because Whitman has limited 55+ inventory, buyers may also want to compare communities in nearby Plymouth County and South Shore towns.
Options may include communities in:
Bridgewater
East Bridgewater
Hanson
Halifax
Hanover
Plymouth
Each town offers different home styles, pricing, amenities, HOA structures, and resale availability.
I can help you compare those differences so you have a better idea of which communities may be worth exploring.
Whether you're considering a 55+ community, condo, new construction, one-level home, or traditional single-family property, having someone focused on your interests can make the buying process much easier to navigate.
